U.S. Track & Field Star Sha’Carri Richardson, 23, was kicked off an American Airlines flight when she argued with a flight attendant over her cell phone use before takeoff.

Richardson claims it all started when the flight attendant known as “John” disrespected her while she was on a phone call before takeoff.
“Prior to the video this gentleman asked me to get off a cell phone call, I did,” Richardson wrote in a caption after briefly turning her phone to show a flight attendant.
“I stated to him I didn’t like the tone he used with me. Following that, while standing in front of me doing the safety protocols, he continued to lean over to look at my phone. He asked to see that my phones were in airplane mode at this point. He demanded that I show him. Which I did in front of him.”
The flight attendant is heard in the video demanding that Richardson stop recording.
Richardson responded by saying, “You’re harassing me at this point. I think you should stop. I think you should stop.”

From watching this clip, she is 100% wrong. Disobeying an order from a flight attendant is grounds for being booted which she was. It's her own fault.

Passengers started getting restless and angered by Richardson’s failure to follow the flight crew’s instructions, with one passenger telling Richardson to end the argument with the airline employee.
“Y’all see him, right? Y’all see him, right? Y’all see him, right? I’m sorry, it’s not me,” Richardson told the other passengers. “Talk to him. No ma’am. Do not talk to me like that. I’m an adult. Do not talk to me like that. Do not talk to me like that. Tell him to stop. If you do not know what’s going on, do not yell at me.”
Richardson then got into an argument with a different passenger. While explaining that she thinks the flight attendant should have been kicked off as well, the female passenger can be heard saying, “Thank you, by the way, I’m going to miss my connection; I have to now get off the plane.”
Richardson’s response? “Oh, so you’re worried about a connection when a grown man is disrespecting me?”
To which the passenger responded, “I don’t give a s–t.”
Richardson was finally escorted off the plane to applause while continuing the argument with the flight crew and some passengers. The applause didn’t sit well with Richardson either.
“Also the captain not doing anything to help the situation, and this flight attendant has the applause when I exited the plane when I’m pretty serious the disrespect I received would not have happened if I was a one of them,” she added.

Richardson previously qualified for the 2020 Olympics but was later disqualified after testing positive for marijuana. Richardson claimed she smoked marijuana after learning that her biological mother had died.
