Trump Vows a ‘Christian Day of Visibility’ in Retort to Biden’s Trans Day

Former President Donald Trump says he will create a “Christian Visibility Day” this November in response to the Biden administration’s decision to commemorate transgenderism on Easter Sunday. At a rally Tuesday in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Trump vowed a return to the White House next year and said he expected Christian voters to turn out “in a number that nobody has ever seen before.”

“On November 5, we’re going to win,” Trump told the audience. “We’re going to win the White House, and we’re going to save our country.”

“And what the hell was Biden thinking when he declared Easter Sunday to be ‘Trans Visibility Day?’ Such total disrespect to Christians. And Nov. 5 is going to be called something else. Do you know what it’s going to be called,” he asked the crowd. “Christian Visibility Day; when Christians turn out in number that nobody has ever seen before.”

Trump’s comments were met with cheers from the audience. His remarks come just days after the White House issued a statement commemorating the annual “Transgender Day of Visibility” held on March 31. This year, the event coincided with Easter Sunday.

Critics widely panned President Biden for the decision, who viewed the “Day of Visibility” as an insult to Christians. Trump’s national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, called the event “appalling and insulting.”

“We call on Joe Biden’s failing campaign and the White House to issue an apology to the millions of Catholics and Christians across America who believe tomorrow is for one celebration only — the resurrection of Jesus Christ,”

The “Transgender Day” also drew condemnation from House Speaker Mike Johnson, who called it “outrageous and abhorrent” in a statement.

“The Biden White House has betrayed the central tenet of Easter — which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” Johnson posted on X. Banning sacred truth and tradition—while at the same time proclaiming Easter Sunday as ‘Transgender Day’—is outrageous and abhorrent. The American people are taking note.”

Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., also posted to X, “This is the left’s new religion. They want people worshiping the trans flag instead of God. They must be stopped.”

The White House attempted to fend off critics with another statement issued Sunday, saying that Republicans were “seeking to divide and weaken” America by pointing out the day’s conflict with Easter.

“As a Christian who celebrates Easter with family, President Biden stands for bringing people together and upholding the dignity and freedoms of every American,” the White House said. “Sadly, it’s unsurprising politicians are seeking to divide and weaken our country with cruel, hateful, and dishonest rhetoric. President Biden will never abuse his faith for political purposes or for profit.”

Biden first proclaimed March 31 as the “Transgender Day of Visibility” in 2021. While commemorating the event last year, Biden stated, “Transgender people are some of the bravest Americans I know.”
