Trump Slams ‘Fascist’ Dems for ‘Election Interference’
Former President Donald Trump stood defiant Tuesday following yet another day in court, slamming the “fascists” of the Democratic party for their attempts to derail his campaign. Trump, the presumptive GOP Presidential nominee, said he had a “very good day in court” as his Manhattan trial continues through its fourth week. Standing outside the courthouse, Trump blasted the proceedings as “election interference” before reading snippets from some news commentators.
“‘The problem for Democrats is that the extensive polling now shows that the voters see through their scam and don’t like what’s going on,'” Trump said, quoting Fox News contributor Charlie Hurt. “‘Watching 100,000 enthusiastic people gather along the boardwalk in a New Jersey beach this Saturday … to support President Trump on Saturday evening, gives you some idea how terrified Democrats are of Trump.'”
Trump disagreed with the last sentence of Hurt’s coverage. “I don’t think they’re terrified of anything,” Trump said. “They’re fascists.”

A Suffolk University poll released earlier this month found that more voters believe the trial has been unfair than those who think it has been fair. Of the 1,000 voters surveyed, 44 percent believe the former President has not been given a fair trial, while just 39 percent agree with the proceedings. A further 16 percent had no opinion. The survey’s findings were primarily divided among party lines.
Roughly two-thirds of those voters expect Trump will be convicted on at least some of the nearly three-dozen charges against him, with just 23 percent responding that he will be found not guilty on all charges.
The weeks-long proceedings, as well as the gag order imposed against Trump during the trial, have been widely criticized by Republicans as an attempt to derail the former President’s election efforts and keep him off the campaign trail.
“The gag order imposed by conflicted Judge Juan Merchan in the lawless Manhattan DA case is unconstitutional and un-American,” Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung said in a statement Tuesday, according to Fox News.
“The threat to throw the 45th President of the United States and the leading candidate in the 2024 presidential election in jail for exercising his First Amendment rights is a Third World authoritarian tactic typical of Crooked Joe Biden and his comrades.” ~ Steve Cheung, Trump campaign spokesman.

Trump’s Manhattan trial is scheduled to resume Thursday morning. His former attorney, Michael Cohen, is due to return to the witness stand, as the court does not meet on Wednesdays. Lead prosecutor Joshua Steinglass has said Cohen is their final witness.
On Monday, Trump was joined in court by a long list of his allies, including Florida Congressmen Byron Donalds and Cory Mills, former candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, and Senators Rick Scott (R-FL), J.D. Vance (R-OH) and Tommy Tuberville (R-AL).
