Trump Returns to Twitter, Now X – Posts Own Mugshot
Former President Donald Trump made a triumphant return to X, formerly known as Twitter, following his booking at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia on Thursday. Trump posted an image of his mugshot with the caption “Election interference. Never Surrender! DonaldJTrump.Com.” It was his first post to the social media platform in over two years.
Trump was banned from Twitter in January 2021, prompting him to build his own platform, Truth Social, where he has posted ever since. His ban was reversed in October 2022 after Elon Musk acquired the website for $44 billion, but he continued to post exclusively to Truth Social for nearly another year.
Trump posted just hours after Fulton County Jail officials released his mugshot. It has since reached almost 1 million likes as of Friday morning.

Following Trump’s surrender in the Georgia criminal case–his fourth in the past six months–the former President spoke to Fox News Digital, where he said officials “insisted” that he have a mugshot taken. He described it as “not a comfortable feeling—especially when you’ve done nothing wrong.”
“This is all about election interference,” Trump said. “It all comes through Washington and the DOJ and Crooked Joe Biden—nothing like this has ever happened in our country before.” ~ Donald Trump to Fox News Digital
Trump said it was “the only time I’ve ever taken a mugshot.” His bail was set at $200,000, and he was released the same evening. His formal arraignment will likely be held sometime next month, where he is expected to plead not guilty.
He is officially charged with one count of violation of the Georgia RICO Act, three counts of criminal solicitation, six counts of criminal conspiracy, one count of filing false documents, and two counts of making false statements. Eighteen other associates were also charged and booked at the Fulton County Jail earlier this week, including attorneys Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell and former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows.
Trump told the outlet that the United States is “doing horribly, but now, it is doing worse because we have become a Third World country.”
“It is election interference,” he said. “We did nothing wrong at all. And we have every right every single right to challenge an election that we think is dishonest that we think is very dishonest.” ~ Donald Trump to Fox News Digital

After Trump’s booking Thursday evening, Fulton County Jail records showed the former President’s height and weight to be 6’3″ and 215 pounds. The information was reportedly “pre-reported” by Trump to speed up the booking process. Social media users reacted to the news later that evening.
“Trump has weighed in at 215 lbs, according to the Fulton county jail,” wrote one commenter. “The left is in complete disbelief about this, but they trust every other aspect about the process.”
Other users compared Trump to various athletes with roughly the same height and weight.
“Larry Fitzgerald – 6’3”, 218 lbs […] Donald Trump – 6’3 “, 215 lbs,” commented another user.
