Whalon Joseph Hannah, 19, Robert Martin Trublood, 25, and Curtis Payton Austin, 16, who has just recently been named, have been charged in the execution-style double homicide of David “Daniel” Sigers and James Michael “Bo” Thomas in Baker County, Florida.

According to Baker County Sheriff’s Investigators, Sigers and Thomas were found dead from gunshot wounds in a home off Sawtooth Road in Macclenny in what’s been described as an execution-style murder scene by Baker County Sheriff Scotty Rhoden during a recent news conference.
Rhoden said that on July 30, 2022, two of the three suspects listed above entered a home in the 14000 block of Sawtooth Road, where Sigers and Thomas were. The sheriff said the suspects shot and fatally wounded the two victims and stole several firearms.
At the time of the Murders, Baker County Sheriff held a news conference where he stated,
“This is very uncommon for Baker County. This is nothing that happens… I can’t remember our (last) actual murder, to be honest with you,” Rhoden said.
At approximately 11:25 a.m. friend of the victims called deputies after they went to check on them. When deputies arrived, they found the owner of the home and his roommate dead with apparent gunshot wounds.
Investigators were calling it a homicide but said the surrounding community was safe. At that time, investigators were not ruling out a possible burglary either.
“There’s no concern… that we feel for the area right now. We feel that this crime happened possibly a few days ago,” Rhoden said.
Baker County did not release any information about the victims ao respect their families’ privacy.
Sheriff Rhoden did not specify which individuals entered the home out of the three charged. (Judging by the charges, I believe that would be Trublood, as he has been charged with accessory after the fact.)
Pro Tip, Mr. Trublood, cut a deal and tell investigators everything you know about this crime, and maybe you won’t spend the rest of your life in prison.
Rhoden says that the incident stemmed from a prior dispute between one of the suspects and one of the victims. Additionally, Rhoden says the mother of one of the suspects charged was dating Thomas.
During a press conference Friday night, Sheriff Rhoden said,
“This was a heinous act of violence that Baker County is not used to. I ask the community to pray for the victims’ families. They are going to need it because it’s still a long process for this family. We will stand by them through this whole process.”

Whalon Joseph Hannah, 19, was arrested in Suwanee County Friday night and is charged with first-degree murder, armed burglary, and grand theft of a firearm. He is being held on no bond.
Robert Martin Trublood, 25, was charged with accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence. He is being held on a $1.5 million bond.
Curtis Payton Austin, 16, who was not named until now, was charged with first-degree murder, armed burglary, and grand theft of a firearm. He is being held without a bond.
