‘The View’ Finally Lifts Three Year Audience Mask Mandate, Ridiculed on Twitter
Liberal chat show The View is commemorating three years of COVID alarmism by ending its studio mask mandate. ABC’s cackling propagandists announced the change on Monday, making the experience of being a live audience member slightly less excruciating. The cast was mocked on social media over their reactions.

“Look at y’all sitting up here with no masks on,” Whoopi Goldberg said as the audience applauded. “Wait a minute now. So I’m talking, and in my mind, I’m going, what is different about this audience? And then it hits me. No masks. Because I saw your smile, and I saw your teeth. It’s great. Well, yeah, we’re getting back to where we were.”
The show’s audience was seen wearing masks on Friday. On Monday, they appeared maskless. It is unclear what ABC’s reasoning was for the sudden change in policy.
The View has been a leading voice in promoting COVID hysteria since 2020. Its hosts have repeatedly advocated for harsh lockdown measures and mask mandates, justifying them with over-hyped and sometimes blatantly false data surrounding the pandemic. In 2021, co-host Sara Haines reported that the death rate among children was “1 percent.” In reality, it was closer to 0.008 percent.
The cast also joined in the hysterics when Broadway performer Patti Lupone berated an audience member for attending a show without wearing a mask. “You don’t want to infect the people on stage who are not wearing masks,” Goldberg said in defense of Lupone. “Just do it right.”
In 2021, co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro were also forced to abandon The View mid-episode after they received two positive COVID tests. They were just minutes away from interviewing Vice President Kamala Harris.
Joy Behar also took fire in February after appearing in a New York City restaurant maskless, just hours after squawking to her audience about people not following mask guidelines. “So if I go on the subway, if I go in a bus, if I go into the theater… a crowded place, I would wear a mask, and I might do that indefinitely,” She told her audience.
“If I ever was forced to be in their audience, I’d want to wear a full-face mask so that no one would know it was me,” one commenter said regarding the rule change.

“Their amazingly nicely clapping seal colony has been freed! Now the question is, was there any scientific basis for this or was it all PR and political like everything else these days?”

Sooooo….Whoopie and the rest of the VIEW haven't worn masks 😷 for almost 2½ years……..BUT…..
Their audience had to wear them until this weeks showings…..? 🧐
Isn't there a little hypocrisy in the mix somewhere? 🤔

Some commenters disagreed over whether the hosts were heroes or villains.
“The view has saved millions of lives,” one account joked.
“As a show of respect, all The View hosts should wear bags over their heads,” another said.

The View is filmed in New York City, which plans to let its COVID state of emergency declaration expire this month. Mayor Eric Adams partly reversed the city’s mask recommendation last week, saying that frequent masking has emboldened thieves and made it harder to identify suspects.
