‘The View’ Calls for Total AR-15 Confiscation, Says GOP ‘Profiting’ Off Dead Children

The cast of ‘The View’ called for the total confiscation of AR-15 rifles on Tuesday and accused Republican lawmakers of profiting off the deaths of children in America. On Monday, the tragic Nashville shooting at a Christian elementary school occurred just two weeks after ‘The View’ hosted Jane Fonda to call for the murder of pro-lifers. Six people, including three 9-year-old children, were killed.

“It is likely that at this moment, the next mass shooter is planning their shooting. What will this chamber do about it?” Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) said in an MSNBC interview Tuesday. ‘The View’ replayed his remarks in a video clip for their segment.

“Nothing. They’ll do nothing. They do nothing,” host Joy Behar responded. “It’s all about the money.”

“This is what this is all about. The gun lobby. All these people who are selling gun. They make lot of money off children’s deaths apparently in this country. They’re worrying about other people, books – baloney items. This they will not do anything about it.”

During the segment, Behar targeted Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn, whose state was the site of Monday’s shooting. She accused Blackburn of taking more than $1 million in National Rifle Association donations while offering nothing except “her thoughts and prayers” to victims of gun deaths.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin then chimed in to say that while she is a “Republican who fundamentally believes in legal responsible gun ownership,” she believes that “we are harming a generation of young people by not addressing this.”

“92 percent of Americans support some kind of background checks for gun ownership. The more deadly the weapon, the more difficult it should be. The more screening, the more background checks, the more trainings you should have to go through to own one.”

Farah Griffin then extended the olive branch to Democrat senator Chris Murphy,

“He’s so passionate about this issue. He said, okay, if we can’t move an assault weapons ban, I will be willing to say why don’t we put in place, trainings, background checks, mental health screenings to be able to have one.”

Murphy is one of the most outspoken proponents of gun control in Congress, but his position was apparently too moderate for ‘The View.’

“Why are we compromising?!” Whoopi Goldberg blared. “You know what I’m tired of? I don’t mean to be rude, to cut you off,

“I am tired of trying to find a way to justify you being able to keep 75 guns in your house! I am tired of trying to figure out a way to say, listen, we have rules and regulations. The Constitution is very clear. Scalia changed the meaning of what the Constitution says. Scalia changed it.”

“This is why I agree with what Chris Murphy trying to do is most substantial gun reform that we’ve seen happen this year, that made major steps…” Farah Griffin responded.

“But when will it go far enough?!” Goldberg again shouted.

“When is it going , when is it going, when are people are going to figure out. When are people going to figure out that just as you were saying, I have to have a license to drive. It’s not a compromise. We don’t discuss it. You either get a license or you go to jail.

So to me, you want to have 7,011 guns?! We need to know that! We need to know what you got! Because you are now being painted with the same swab all the people who are killing people left and right with legal guns! We need to know what you got!”

Co-host Sunny Hostin agreed, calling AR-15s “weapons of mass destruction.”

“They are weapons of war,” Joy Behar agreed.

Later on in the segment, Goldberg attacked Republicans for suggesting placing armed guards in schools,

Telling people put armed guards in schools doesn’t work. Talk about Uvalde if you’re not sure how that went down. Talk about what kids are dealing with. These are our kids. They may not be your kids. But they’re my kids. They’re your kids. They’re somebody’s kids. What the Hell?!
