Texas Teen Kills Family – Thought They Were ‘Cannibals’ & Going To Eat Him

Texas teenager Cesar Olalde, 18, of Nash, is in the Texarkana Jail after he allegedly shot dead his parents and two siblings because he thought they were ‘cannibals’ and ‘planned to eat him,’ according to the arrest affidavit.

According to the arrest affidavit, Olalde killed his parents, Reuben and Aida, and his older sister Lisbet and brother Oliver.

Olalde shot all four and then dragged their bodies to a bathroom on the property before barricading himself in the house.

Cesar stated at the time of the incident that he had killed his family because they were cannibals and would eat him.

Joseph Flieder told cops Olalde had said he’d killed his family after Flieder stopped by their home to check on his co-worker Lisbet, who had failed to show up for work. When he and his wife went to the residence, they got no answer at the door, and another Olalde family member arrived on the scene.

The pair decided to force entry to the property to check on the family and were confronted by Olalde as they entered. Olalde frequently pointed a firearm at Flieder throughout the exchange and brandished a knife.

Flieder managed to escape before Olalde was taken into custody after cops arrived and surrounded the property.

Inside the residence, authorities said they found each victim shot multiple times and deceased inside a bathroom.

Investigators said it looked like the victims were shot in other parts of the residence and dragged into the bathroom.

Responding police said there was ‘blood spatter on multiple surfaces’ and ‘multiple spent cartridge casings on the floor.’

Bowie County Sheriff’s Department said a negotiator had been sent to the house after a standoff with police and negotiated Cesar’s surrender.

Bowie County Sheriff’s Department said: ‘On May 23, 2023, at approximately 10:48 am, Nash Texas Police Department responded to 563 Lemon Acres about an unknown issue. Witnesses on the scene made officers aware of an individual armed and barricaded inside the residence. Law enforcement also received information that multiple lives had already been taken inside the home.’ A Bowie County Sheriff’s Department negotiator established contact with the barricaded individual and successfully negotiated the surrender of the suspect, 18-year-old Cesar Olalde. Officers then entered the residence and located four deceased individuals.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help the Olalde family organize a funeral service for the family by Cesar’s older sister Diana who said:

‘On 5/23/2023, my world changed—my whole family, my father, who was a hard-working man. My mother was a caring and loving person; my sister was full of life, happiness, and dreams; and my little brother, who was an amazing, funny, and cheerful kid, passed through a tragic turn of events that, even in my worst nightmare I couldn’t have dreamed of.  ‘If these people ever touched your life in any way, please help and donate. Prayers would be much appreciated as well.’
