Tennessee Strikes Back – Two Dem Legislators EXPELLED For Seizing State Capitol
The Tennessee Republican Party decided to fight back on Thursday, expelling two Democrats and stripping a third of committee assignments after they helped a radical left mob seize control of the state capitol.
The expulsions come after the three legislators were seen leading and supporting protesters while they harassed Republican legislators fleeing to safety.
The seizing of the capitol – which some Republicans call an “insurrection” – saw pro-trans and anti-gun protesters revolt in the wake of the Tennessee massacre just under two weeks ago. Representatives Justin Jones and Justin Pearson were expelled, saying that the expulsions were “racist” and were akin to a “lynch mob.”
Justin Jones even used time on the floor to say Republican minority member Rep. Kumar was “putting a brown face on white supremacy.”

Outnumbered in the legislative chamber, Tennessee Democrats could do nothing to stop the expulsion of their party members. Several Democrats had public outbursts in response.
Tennessee state Rep. John Ray Clemmons vehemently objects to ending the floor debate on whether to expel 3 Democratic lawmakers after they participated in a gun control protest at the state Capitol.

The Tennessee Republicans enjoyed a flurry of support from conservatives online, with many commentators applauding their actions. Famed commentator Matt Walsh had this to say about it on Twitter:
“Can’t say enough about the Republican legislators in Tennessee today who had the courage and wherewithal to hold Democrats accountable for a change and force them to abide by the same rules as everyone else. Extremely rare that Republicans display this kind of toughness.”
Walsh also took note of historic Republican inaction in fighting against the radical left and celebrated the end of it, saying,
“The Democrats led a mob into the capitol building and then tried to use the floor of the House as a staging ground for a political demonstration. They never imagined that Republicans would actually use their constitutional authority to expel them. But they did. Awesome stuff.”

Democrats across the spectrum reacted in a typical fashion, calling the tumult “racist” and “anti-democratic.” The echoing of this rhetoric comes less than a week after Democrat District Attorney Alvin Bragg arraigned the leader of the opposition party.
Right-wing commentator Dinesh D’Souza called out the hypocrisy of the leftist narrative, saying,
“Democrats who just arrested a former President and leading candidate of the opposition party now say “democracy” is threatened because the Tennessee GOP legislature voted to expel a Democrat leading an occupation of the state Capitol and a disruption of official proceedings.”
President Biden said the accountability measures were “shocking, undemocratic, and without precedent.” One of the expelled Tennessee legislators said that his being fired for disrupting an official proceeding is another step on “the path toward authoritarianism.”
The occasion could mark the beginning of Republican resistance. Inspired by figures like Ron DeSantis, Republicans nationwide have begun using state power to resist incessant persecution and lawlessness from their Democrat counterparts – ending decades of right-wing apathy.
