Senator Ted Cruz showed off his cross-examination chops on Tuesday when he ripped into FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate. for refusing to answer if the FBI has a form FD-1023, which alleges that Joe Biden took a $5 million bribe from a Burisma, Ukranian Oil Company, executive.

Cruz began the heated exchange by asking the FBI deputy director point-blank.
“Last month, a whistleblower brought to light the existence in the FBI of a report, an FD-1023 in which the informant alleges that President Biden and his family members engaged in a $5 Million bribery scheme during his time as VP. Deputy Director Abbate, is it true that the FBI has a report making those allegations?”

Abbate refused to answer the question. When asked why, he said, “I’m just not going to comment on information we’ve received investigations or other matters.”
Cruz went on,” You don’t owe the American people an obligation to be candid about evidence of corruption by the President of the United States?”
When Abbate said no, Cruz accused Abbate of stonewalling.
“Well I understand you don’t want to, and that’s why people are mad at the FBI. Because you are stonewalling and covering up serious allegations of evidence of corruption from the President.”
Abbate denied he was stonewalling but refused to respond to Cruz’s questions.
It’s also been the understanding of congressional Republicans that the FBhasof 17 audio recordings made by that executive of conversations with Hunter Biden and Joe Biden. When asked, Abbate also refused to say if they FBhadof these either.
“The FBI is stonewalling!” Cruz said, “If the allegations are false, who could disprove them? Joe Biden. He could call for this to be released publicly…..You are sitting there happily erecting a wall to protect Joe Biden!”

Cruz continued to press Abbate, asking if the FBI had investigated the allegations, to which he refused to answer and only insisted the FBI was doing its job, an idea Cruz sharply rebuked.
“Well not here!” Cruz thundered. “You’re not answering a single question to the American people. And you may think this is esoteric, I promise you millions of Americans are concerned. You know who isn’t concerned? Not a single Senate Democrat. We’re going to go through this whole hearing, not one Democrat will ask a question about this. You know who else isn’t concerned? The corporate media who is joining with the Democrats in covering up this evidence!”

Abbate: "We do our job to the very best of our ability."
