Target Busted For Supporting Org That Encourages Antisemitism
NDN Collective, a South Dakota-based organization that has called for eliminating the Jewish State of Israel, the shutdown of Mount Rushmore, and has shown support for radical left ideas such as critical race theory, has obtained funds from Target.
According to a new investigative report by Fox News Digital, Target has been funding a grantee pushing to shut down and give away Mount Rushmore because it is an ‘international symbol of white supremacy.’ They also want to demilitarize the ‘violent’ US military, and the same group also supports the destruction of Israel’s Jewish identity through what is called the Palestinian’ Law of Return’ and implementing economic warfare against the Jewish State, such as boycotts and sanctions, to ‘Free Palestine.’
Target has been funding this group through its ‘nonprofit’ foundation, and on its webpage, it is shown that it funded the NDN Collective in 2022. NDN has a revenue stream that has reached as high as $50M+, according to its 2021 tax filing. On NDN’s website, they have big words that say ‘Dedicated to building Indigenous Power’ followed by a statement describing who they are.
NDN Collective is an Indigenous-led organization dedicated to building Indigenous power. Through organizing, activism, philanthropy, grantmaking, capacity-building and narrative change, we are creating sustainable solutions on Indigenous terms.
NDN also identifies itself as ‘intersectional,’ a term used by radical critical race theorists who believe that racism is embedded within American institutions.
The organization has a major campaign called ‘LANDBACK,’ which aims to make the US give up public land. They push this by saying:
The closure of Mount Rushmore, return of that land and all public lands in the Black Hills, South Dakota is our cornerstone battle, Not only does Mount Rushmore sit in the heart of the sacred Black Hills, but it is an international symbol of White supremacy and colonization. To truly dismantle white supremacy and systems of oppression, we have to go back to the roots. Which, for us, is putting Indigenous Lands back in Indigenous hands.
The website also supports the destruction of Israel, claiming that opening the floodgates to those who identify as Palestinian refugees will make Israel a better nation. They also say, ‘From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free.’ This phrase has been identified as terroristic, with organizations like Hamas using it. According to the Anti-Defamation League, this group seeks Israel’s destruction through violence.
NDN also maintains an anti-military stance, but mainly with the US military, with the group going as far as to seek the US to be ‘demilitarized.’ They explain this viewpoint by saying:
[T]he U.S military is in the explicit business of taking land away from communities all around the world and using their presence on their land to carry out their own agenda for the inhabitants of that area. Violence is fundamental for the U.S. to maintain its presence, and the military is how they establish dominance domestically and internationally, wherever they may be.
The NDN then follows up by claiming that the origins of the military were based on indiscriminate killings and complicity in slavery.
The origin of the U.S. military and police is rooted in the establishment of informal militias composed of newly arrived settlers looking to make money and own land,” NDN said “The purpose of these informal militias however was not to keep the police or protect citizens, but to clear the land of as many Natives as possible by killing indiscriminately, and catching runaway enslaved Africans.
However, the NDN seems to ignore the entire Civil War, with many Americans in the US military fighting for the freedom of slaves, and they also seem to ignore the unjustified and indiscriminate killings that the Hamas group and other pro-Palestine terror groups have committed over the years.
As of the writing of this report, Target has not made any official statement denouncing and/or apologizing for funding the antisemitic and radical group.
