Soros-Funded Prosecutor’s Team No-Shows Murder Trial, Murderer Goes Free
Soros-funded St. Louis circuit attorney Kim Gardner’s prosecutors failed to show up to a murder case this week, allowing a potential killer to walk free.
Gardner may soon be held in contempt of court after a prosecutor from her office failed to arrive at the Monday morning murder trial. Judge Scott Millikan sent a notice to Gardner’s office asking her to appear in court on April 24 to defend herself and “to show cause why you should not be adjudged in contempt of this court.” If Gardner fails to appeal or show this cause, she will be held in contempt of court, opening the door for Judge Millikan to impose a fine against the city’s chief prosecutor, put her in jail, or both.

An assistant circuit attorney from Gardner’s office was supposed to appear to prosecute the trial of Jonathan Jones, 18, who has been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action for the September 6, 2021, shooting death of Brandon Scott near the Gateway Arch.
When no one from the circuit attorney’s office appeared on the morning of the trial, Jones filed a motion to dismiss the case outright. Judge Millikan refused, opting to delay the trial a week while Judge Millikan requests an audience with Gardner.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the filing comes the night before the office was set to defend itself against a lawsuit alleging that Gardner should be removed due to failure to do her job.

The suit comes because the Jones case is no isolated incident; Gardner and her office have demonstrated a trend of refusing to prosecute, in line with the broader tendencies of Soros-backed DAs. Her office failed to appear again regarding an armed robbery. The suspect was eventually released with GPS monitoring.
The repeat offender eventually hit a Tennessee volleyball player who was visiting with a car pinning her legs to another car, leading to a double amputation. According to the Gateway Pundit, the GPS monitor went off forty times before the accident, and Gardner’s office did nothing. The Pundit also reported that “Gardner recently allowed another killer out on bond in the city. A different judge sanctioned Gardner for withholding evidence in a double-murder case and allowing that killer to go free.”

St. Louis Post-Dispatch also revealed that Gardner’s office is severely understaffed, with multiple prosecutors that handle the city’s most serious felonies leaving. One former employee cited a “toxic work environment” as the cause. Now, only four prosecutors remain to handle hundreds of violent felony cases, while the prosecutor who failed to show to Jones’ case is on medical leave.
According to a columnist for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Garner’s office is in “total collapse” under the weight of their internal issues and the coming lawsuit for their prosecutorial failures.
“Quote of the day in quo warranto hearing in St. Louis where @AGAndrewBailey is seeking to remove Kim Gardner from office. Booker Shaw, who is representing the judges of the 22nd Circuit, made an appearance in the case, and said circuit attorney’s office is in ‘total collapse.'”
