Slovenly Fetterman Looks Homeless as He Stumbles Through Press Conference

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman, who suffered a tragic stroke during his 2022 senate campaign, recently staggered through a press conference in which he urged the Biden Administration to usurp Congress’s spending authority and invoke the 14th amendment to raise the debt ceiling.

Fetterman, flanked on his left and right by three-piece suit-wearing colleagues, wore a Carhartt hoodie and basketball shorts to the press conference – an unprecedented display of informality in the ultra-conservative dressed Washington D.C.

The “casual dress” was a defining characteristic of Mr. Fetterman during campaign season and has extended into almost all of his public appearances barring a few exceptions.

The Pennsylvania senator received harsh criticism for his lack of decorum. Several representatives have publicly spoken out against the lawmaker’s dress code, arguing that his uniquely drab dress code showed disrespect to the high office that he holds.

“John Fetterman redefined Casual Friday on a Thursday morning. It’s truly unbecoming for someone to show up like that to any job, let alone a job that only 100 people are elected to do. There’s just no excuse for it.” ~ Colorado Representative Loeren Boebert on Twitter

Fetterman’s tenure in the upper chamber of the United States legislature has been marred by persistent controversy, which started with an unfortunate stroke that left the then-senate candidate with auditory, cognition, and articulation skills.

Fetterman told reporters during the election that he was expected to recover fully. Despite this, Fetterman spent months absent from the senate and in a mental hospital, citing depression issues following his electoral victory.

Upon his return to the chamber, Fetterman still appeared to be struggling with auditory processing and vocal articulation.

On Wednesday evening, during senate questioning of the now-failed Silicon Valley Bank, Fetterman took the stand and tumbled through questioning – mixing his unclear points with unrelated meandering several times.

“And it’s in Fortune, the second biggest bank in US history collapsed, and chose to go to Hawaii on that. Yeah, I’ve never been to Hawaii, and neither has my family. I guess I haven’t cranked, or excuse me, crashed a bank, you know.”

At one point, Fetterman confused himself while asking a question.

“Is it a staggering response, responsibility that the head of a bank could literally could literally crash our economy? It’s astonishing. That’s like, if you have, I mean, like and they also realize is that now they have it’s in the guaranteed, a guaranteed way to be saved by, again, by no matter, by how, you know, so it’s, you know, isn’t it appropriate that the those kinds of those kinds of controls should be more stricter to prevent this kind of thing from going, or should we just go on and start bailing and sailing whoever bank regardless of how there’s their conduct is?”

While many have called for the resignation of Fetterman over his lack of decorum, persistent depression, and cognitive struggles, the career politician has announced several times that he plans on serving his entire six-year term.
