Rumors true: Ted Deutch to retire from Congress
For weeks it’s been rumored in local republican circles that Ted Deutch wasn’t going to run again, but every Democrat I asked about either didn’t know or wouldn’t talk.
It’s true. I saw it on The Hill, but the Hill said CBS Miami first reported it.
BREAKING: @CBSMIAMI has learned @RepTedDeutch, who has served in Congress since 2011, will not run for re-election and is giving up his House seat representing Broward and Palm Beach to take a leadership position with a major Jewish American advocacy group. Story to follow.

It just got a lot more exciting here in Palm Bach County as there will undoubtedly be a massive brawl in both parties between everyone who wants to take a shot at this seat.
In the meantime, congratulations Ted.
Rep. Ted Deutch (Fla.) announced on Monday that he will not run for reelection in
November, becoming the 31st House Democrat to announce they will not run for
reelection in the lower chamber in November.
Deutch will become the CEO of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), and in his
statement he highlighted an “unprecedented rise in antisemitism” in the U.S. and
around the globe.
