Rubio Demands Answers from Pfizer After Viral Project Veritas Virus Mutation Video

Conservative whistleblower group Project Veritas released a video of the Pfizer Director of Research and Development for mRNA Scientific Planning discussing the company’s plans for Covid-19 research, and Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio wants some answers.

The research director filmed in the video, Jordan Walker, said that the pharmaceutical giant plans to mutate the Covid-19 virus to discover new variants and develop more vaccines.

“One of the things we’re exploring is like, why don’t we just mutate it [COVID] ourselves so we could create — preemptively develop new vaccines, right? So, we have to do that. If we’re gonna do that though, there’s a risk of, like, as you could imagine — no one wants to be having a pharma company mutating f**king viruses,” Walker told the undercover Project Veritas journalist.

The viral video prompted immediate backlash from conservatives on social media and conservative politicians.

Senator Marco Rubio, R-Fl. penned a letter to Albert Bourla, the President and CEO of Pfizer, expressing his concerns about gain-of-function research being conducted by the company.  Beyond discussing concerns over the highly controversial research methods that Pfizer is using, he also referenced a claim made by Walker that the company sees the research as a ‘cash cow.’

“I write in response to troubling reports on Pfizer’s intention to mutate the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID) virus through gain-of-function, or “directed evolution,” as detailed by Pfizer Director of Research and Development, Jordan Walker. As has been proven time and time again, attempts to mutate a virus, particularly one as potent as COVID, are dangerous. If the claims detailed in the video are true, Pfizer has put its desire for profit over the concern of national and global health and must hold itself accountable.” Rubio said in his letter.

As Rubio attempts to get answers on the video posted by Project Veritas, Google has allegedly made it more difficult to search the history of Walker.

“Google appears to have gone out of its way to make it difficult to learn anything about the Pfizer Executive in the [Veritas] footage,” Tucker Carlson said Thursday night.

Rubio joins a chorus of other voices in the House and Senate who have expressed concern over the Covid-19 vaccine and gain-of-function research, including Senator Ron Johnson, R-Wi. and Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky.

“As a leader in global public health and development of the COVID vaccine, with American taxpayer dollars, it is critical that Pfizer is accountable for their actions and be transparent with the public on the substance and intent of their research. “Rubio concluded in his letter.
