Rep. Mills Drafts Impeachment Articles Over Biden’s Israel Aid Cutoff
Florida Congressman Cory Mills (R) says he has submitted articles of impeachment to House counsel, following President Joe Biden’s threats this week to withhold military aid from Israel. Mills announced Thursday that he would pursue action against Biden over “abuse of power,” which he says has compromised Israel’s national security.
Mills accused Biden of leveraging U.S. aid to force a “quid pro quo” in Gaza, drawing a parallel to Democrats’ first impeachment of Donald Trump. The Florida Republican said he used as a template the impeachment articles written by Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY).
“I have submitted to House counsel and will pursue action tomorrow morning using the Dems’s own language, but Biden’s actual abuse of power,” Mills wrote in a post to X, referring to the President as “Quid Pro Joe.”
“These are the same accusations made against President Trump, which resulted in his impeachment by Democrats,” Mills told Fox News. “The same must happen for Joe Biden, which is why we’re drawing up articles of impeachment now,”

Calls to impeach Biden have mounted following his delivering of an ultimatum to Israel this week. On Wednesday, Biden threatened to withhold future military aid from Israel if it continues with its planned invasion of Rafah, a major city in the south of Gaza. “If they go into Rafah, I’m not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities, that deal with that problem,” Biden announced.
Rafah is estimated to home to roughly one million Palestinians, including many who have left other parts of the Gaza strip since the beginning of the war.
Biden’s threat to withhold aid has been heavily criticized by both Republicans and Democrats, including Florida Reps. Lois Frankel (D) and Jared Moskowitz (D).
Moskowitz told Axios on Thursday that while Biden’s move was intended to send a “message” to Israel about their use of force, “Hamas is also getting the message … and that means the war is going to go on.”

The House has no choice but to impeach Biden based on the Trump-Ukraine precedent of withholding foreign aid to help with reelection. Only with Biden, it’s true.

“The House has no choice but to impeach President ‘Quid pro Joe’ Biden,” Mills told Fox News.
“As Vice President, Biden was caught threatening to withhold funding and aid to Ukraine unless they fired the attorney general investigating Burisma, a company financially benefiting his son Hunter, not to mention the 10% share for ‘the big guy’ himself.
Now, Joe Biden is pressuring Israel, our biggest ally in the Middle East, by pausing their funding that has already been approved in the House, if they don’t stop all operations with Hamas. It’s a very clear message, ‘this for that.’” ~ Rep. Cory Mills
While more lawmakers continue to join in the calls for impeachment, it is unlikely that Biden will face trial for his recent ultimatum. The President already faces an ongoing impeachment inquiry related to his family’s business dealings overseas. The House’s current investigation makes it improbable that Mills’ resolution will advance to the level of a formal probe.
