Log Cabin Republicans is the nation’s original and largest organization representing LGBT conservatives and straight allies. Log Cabin Republicans support equality under the law for all, free markets, individual liberty, limited government, low taxes, and a robust national defense.
The Spirit of Lincoln Gala is an annual tradition to honor those who exemplify a commitment to enhancing personal freedoms, encouraging individual responsibility, and ensuring equality under the law for all Americans.
LCRs from all over the country were at the black-tie gala held at Mar a Lago on December 15th. What a night it was. It was exciting and patriotic, and I had one of the best wedge salads I’d ever eaten.

The guests and award recipients were numerous, including Congressman George Santos, former U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell, recent gubernatorial candidate from Arizona Kari Lake, conservative radio talk show host Tammy Bruce, Congresswoman from Florida’s 3rd district Kat Cammack, as well as many board members including President of LCRs and Liberty Education Forum Charles T. Moran. Various congressmen such as Matt Gaetz, state senators, and state representatives from all over the country, including Florida State Representative Mike Caruso, whose district includes Mar a Lago, also attended. It was spectacular.
LCR dignitaries were there as well. National Board Member Ernest Olivas from Broward LCRs, Florida State Chair Joe LaFauci, Palm Beach County LCR President Steve Avila, and many others.

The big surprise guest was President Donald J. Trump, who gave an inspirational speech. He has always been with the LGBT community. While in office, President Trump appointed the first LGBT cabinet member, National Security Director Richard Grenell.
The highlight of the evening for me was when Kari Lake said, “when they messed with my election, they messed with the wrong b*tch.” That woman is fierce!
Log Cabin Republicans are an example of diversity within the Republican party. It was an honor to attend this event.
