PBC School Board Candidate piling up endorsements
When candidates challenge incumbents who’ve been in office since Jesus was an altar boy, they usually have a hard time getting endorsements, not Amanda Silvestri.
Silvestri, a candidate for the Palm Beach School Board, District 6, has been racking up a list of impressive endorsements.
Five candidates are in the District 6 School board race, but most experienced political observers think the race will be between twelve-year incumbent Marcia Andrews and Silvestri.
The endorsements Silvestri has snagged lately indeed make a case for that scenario.
The Fraternal Order of Police recently endorsed Silvestri, as did BizPac of PBC, The Economic Council, and Associated General Contractors of Florida.
The police endorsement speaks for itself. The others are political powerhouses every candidate tries to get because they raise significant amounts of money for their endorsed candidates.
Silvestri is an impressive interview. She would have to be to get the endorsements, and that’s not all. She goes door to door, too.
If I were Andrews, I’d be worried.
