NFL’s Harrison Butker Defiantly Wears Pro-Life Attire on White House Visit

NFL Player Harrison Butker, a kicker for 2023 Super Bowl Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, took advantage of his visit to the White House to support the millions of unborn lives claimed by abortion and Roe v. Wade. The football star wore a tie with the Latin phrase “Vulnerari Praesidio,” which translates to “Protect the vulnerable,” and a lapel pin of an unborn child’s feet called “Precious feet,” a well-known symbol of the pro-life movement representing the size of a baby’s feet at ten weeks in the womb.

The Kansas City Chiefs will be the first Super Bowl champions to step foot in the White House since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Butker, who describes himself as a Catholic, gave a written statement to the Daily Signal, defending his decision to fight for the unborn.

“I want to give the most vulnerable, the unborn, a voice at a place where every effort has been made to allow and normalize the tragic termination of their lives. As a father who has experienced three miscarriages, my wife and I understand the hardships that come with losing a child. Every life is precious and should be valued whether outside or inside the womb.”

Butker’s wardrobe choice also appeared to be a bit of a jab toward President Biden, who also claims to be a practicing Catholic. Despite his supposed dedication to the faith, Biden has consistently broke with Catholic doctrine and beliefs throughout his presidency, from his unapologetic promotion of transgender ideology to his attempts at protecting Roe v. Wade and abortion.

The NFL kicker, responsible for a crucial win in the Super Bowl playoffs and who ultimately scored the game-winning field goal, has said he wants to use his platform as a star to spread the word of God.

“I’m not just making kicks so that I can make money and I can puff myself up as this great person that people want to be like one day… I’m making kicks because God wants me to have a platform, at least for right now, to share this message of faith, of growing in virtue, of growing closer to the sacraments and of being a saint.” ~Harrison Butker to EWTN, a Catholic TV network

Butker, who has earned several championships during his NFL career, received an outpouring of support.

“I’m an Eagles fan but I definitely tip my hat to Harrison. Why is it that the left is always spewing their vile while the right just sits back quietly. Bravo Harrison for speaking up for those who don’t have a voice.” ~@CervinoScott on Twitter

Others mocked the left’s relentless whining, with one Twitter user asking if they would prefer the inverse of “Protect the vulnerable.”

“Would you libtards prefer he wear wore something in Latin that said ‘Kill the most vulnerable’?” ~@kevinsreese75 on Twitter
