Florida Governor Ron DeSantis followed the lead of Texas Governor Greg Abbott this week by sending 48 illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard, the home of former President Barack Obama.
Abbott has been sending hundreds of illegal immigrants to liberal strongholds such as New York and Washington D.C, a small fraction of the hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants attempting to enter Texas illegally in the last two years.
After DeSantis sent just 48 illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard, the left called the move a ‘political stunt’ that dehumanized illegal immigrants.

Apparently, allowing millions of illegal immigrants into border states every year is not a political stunt.
California Governor Newsom went so far as to urge the Department of Justice to investigate DeSantis for ‘criminal or civil violations’ for the ‘fraudulent scheme.’
“I strongly urge the U.S. Department of Justice (US DOJ) to open an investigation into possible criminal or civil violations of federal law based on this alleged fraudulent scheme,” wrote Newsom in the letter addressed to Attorney General Merrick Garland.

“Several of the individuals who were transported to Martha’s Vineyard have alleged that a recruiter induced them to accept the offer of travel based on false representations that they would be transported to Boston and would receive expedited access to work authorization,” wrote Newsom in his letter addressed to Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland.
Newsom received backlash from conservatives after writing the letter to the Department of Justice.
One person suggested that Newsom fly the illegal immigrants into California’s numerous sanctuary cities.

Guy Benson found it ironic that Democrats suddenly care about the ‘rule of law’ when they have allowed and encouraged a crisis at the border that is set to cause over 2 million illegal entries across the border this year.

Team DeSantis responded to Newsom, saying tongue-in-cheek that liberal states like New York and California will do a better job taking care of illegal immigrants. “States like Massachusetts, New York and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country by incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as ‘sanctuary states’ and support for the Biden administration’s open border policies,” the governor’s communications director, Taryn Fenske, told Fox News Digital.
