New Mexico Anti-Gun Order So Extreme, Even David Hogg Calling it Out
America’s most prolific gun-grabber activist has never seen a gun control measure he didn’t like… until now.
David Hogg is leading the liberal charge against New Mexico Governor Michelle Grisham, who issued an order to suspend open and concealed carry in Albuquerque on Thursday. Grisham’s order–which cites a “public health emergency”–has been widely panned as unconstitutional, with Republicans in her state now calling for an impeachment.
Republicans have found unlikely agreement with the ‘March for Our Lives’ founder.
“I support gun safety but there is no such thing as a state public health emergency exception to the U.S. Constitution,” Hogg posted Saturday to X, formerly known as Twitter.

Dems must have really bad polling or realize they can’t cheat as they did in 2024. This guy 👇hates the Constitution and would gulag every gun owner.
Some shit we don’t know about must have come out and Democrats are really worried about 2024. https://t.co/t3LL9i11X2

California Democrat Congressman Ted Lieu also joined Hogg in condemning the order and called out Grisham for violating the Constitution.
“I support gun safety laws. However, this order from the Governor of New Mexico violates the U.S. Constitution. No state in the union can suspend the federal Constitution. There is no such thing as a state public health emergency exception to the U.S. Constitution.”
After one user gave a snarky reply saying that the Constitution did not apply to U.S. states, Lieu shot back,
“The U.S. Constitution absolutely applies to states.”
Lieu cited the Supreme Court’s ruling in June 2022 that Americans have a Constitutional right to carry in public places.
“Governor Grisham may want to consider her life choices,” wrote one comment. “Because when Ted Lieu and David Hogg are saying ‘woah woah woah, this is way too far,’ it means you’ve gone waaaay out into the political deep end.”
YouTuber David Freiheit responded, “If this is not definitive proof [Gov. Grisham] has gone too far; no such proof can ever exist.”
“And David, I hope you appreciate that this correct observation applies not only to this egregious overreach, but to the government Covid response as a whole.”
Other commenters suggested that Hogg and Lieu had received marching orders from the DNC to put Grisham in check to avoid energizing conservative voters in 2024.
“It is fairly obvious that Ted Lieu, David Hogg and others were given a memo to address the error of the New Mexico governor,” said the account Wall Street Silver. “They realized this level of interference in the 2nd amendment would rile up the base for 2024.”

Leftist Congressman Ted Lieu and erudite scholar David Hogg apparently received their marching orders pertaining to the New Mexico Governor’s gun ban by edict:

Grisham did receive some support from her party. Neo-nazi activist and fellow Biden voter Richard Spencer had this to say,
“I stand with Gov. Grisham. Gun violence is, no doubt, out of control. She’s obviously going after gang-bangers or ‘super predators,’ if you will, who are flagrantly caring firearms.”
Spencer also attacked the “second-amendment people” who “have no desire to actually solve or engage with a social problem.”
“How did Grisham manage f–k up in such a weird way to get David Hogg to support gun rights and earn an endorsement from Richard Spencer,” one user responded.
