Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene retweeted a short video of Young’s two disappointed young children after they were denied visitation with their father, Kyle J. Young, this past Sunday. The tweet from Kyle Young’s wife, Andrea, says the family drove over 12 hours hoping to see her husband and the father of the two children.

Young Family

Young was arrested in April of 2021 and hit with a dozen charges, including obstruction of an official proceeding, civil disorder, entering or remaining in a restricted area or grounds, and assaulting, resisting, or impeding an officer identified as Michael Fanone.

Young was offered a plea deal and pleaded guilty to assaulting an officer. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison, three years of probation upon release, and a $2,000 Restitution payment.

FCI Forrest City permits visitation on both Saturday and Sunday, but they were turned away on Sunday. The prison officials gave no reason.

Kyle’s wife, Andrea, and two of their four children have only been able to visit him one other time previously since his sentencing in January of 2022.

Kyle’s Youngest son Jack, aged 3, was only 15 months old when Kyle was arrested and initially held in a maximum security side of the Warsaw Prison in Virginia.

After the family was denied entry, Andrea Young posted a video on Twitter as Jack cried, “I want to see daddy.”

Andrea told him, “They didn’t let us go today, “I Know you do, buddy.”

We went to visit our political prisoner, Kyle Young, today. We got turned away. They just canceled visits. We drove 12 and a half hours to come. This is devastating for our children who are missing out on their father.”

Andrea stated, “My husband thinks they are understaffed. We have to travel more than 12 hours to see him. It is so difficult to find time from work and to make such a long and costly trip with our kids.”
