Megyn Kelly Roasts Vaxxed and Boosted Savannah Guthrie After Third COVID Positive – ‘Seriously?’

Megyn Kelly took no pity on former colleague Savannah Guthrie, who abruptly disappeared during her Wednesday NBC show after testing positive for COVID-19. This is Guthrie’s third bout of COVID, despite reportedly being vaccinated and boosted. She tested positive during one of “Today’s” commercial breaks.

“This is reportedly Savannah’s third bout of COVID and I guarantee you she’s had all the vaccines and the boosters because you won’t be able to go into 30 Rock without them.”

Kelly hosted “Megyn Kelly Today” on NBC from 2017 to 2018 and was occasionally joined by guest co-host Savannah Guthrie. Kelly currently hosts her own radio show on SiriusXM, where she offered her comments on Tuesday.

“There’s zero chance NBC is not requiring all boosters,” Kelly said. “And this is her third bout of COVID.”

Kelly had little sympathy for her former coworker and said the spectacle perfectly summarised left-wing COVID hysteria.

“All of it is such a perfect indication of how the left, and especially the left in New York, continues to live.”

Kelly continued, saying she was baffled that people still tested for the virus at all.

“I mean, at this point, seriously? Is anyone still even testing for COVID?”

“It’s amazing to me. These guys are leftists and it’s amazing to me to see how the leftists still live under the grip of COVID… I don’t test for COVID anymore. Who’s testing for COVID still?”

Kelly then joked that “Today” weatherman Al Roker would probably show up to the next episode wearing a mask. She noted Roker slowly walking off-screen during the incident, likely in an attempt to social distance.

“I got dollars to donuts that Roker’s there with an N95 tomorrow all day on set.”

Guthrie hosted the first 30 minutes of her Tuesday broadcast but surprised viewers by suddenly disappearing after one of the commercial breaks. Co-host Sheinelle Jones then explained to viewers that Guthrie “wasn’t feeling great” and, after taking a precautionary COVID test, discovered that she had once again caught the virus.

“It has been an interesting morning for us,” Jones remarked. “Savannah, we love you, wishing you a speedy recovery.”

Guthrie previously tested positive for COVID in January 2022 and May 2022. Her latest diagnosis comes amid renewed debate about the effectiveness of the COVID vaccines and the strength of protection from natural immunity.

An August study by Maccabi Healthcare and Tel Aviv University showed that natural immunity was thirteen times more effective at protecting against COVID than immunity conferred by a vaccine. Another study from Israel from last month also revealed that “survivors” of COVID also had a much longer-lasting immunity than vaccinated persons.

Guthrie was not the only cast member missing from NBC’s “Today.” Co-host Hoda Kotb has been missing for over a week, missing her eighth consecutive show on Wednesday. The network has said that Kotb is away dealing with a “family health matter.”
