Conservative firebrand Marjorie Taylor Greene denounced the looming charges of former president Donald Trump on Saturday and urged Republicans to take action. While the Manhattan District Attorney’s office is reportedly preparing to indict Trump in relation, Greene is calling for Republicans to stand up to the “weaponized government and political persecution” and to defund their “salaries and departments.”
Biden’s DOJ is coordinating with the Democrat Manhattan DA to arrest Donald Trump, the top Republican Presidential candidate for 2024, and charge him with a fake outdated misdemeanor charge.
“It’s ALL FOR POLITICS,” she added.

The Georgia congresswoman argued in her statement that the Biden administration and the Manhattan DA’s office were behaving like a communist regime in their effort to “destroy their political opponents.”
This is what they do in communists countries to destroy their political opponents! Republicans in Congress MUST subpoena these communists and END this! We have the power to do it and we also have the power to DEFUND their salaries and departments! Enough of this! The American people deserve a government that actually works for them NOT a bunch of self centered communists who bail out their donors, protect the elites, and weld their power to punish their political enemies!

In a separate statement from her campaign account, Greene also predicted that if the Manhattan District Attorney proceeded with an indictment, Trump would see a massive boost in support.
If the Manhattan DA indicts President Trump, he will ultimately win even bigger than he is already going to win. And those Republicans that stand by and cheer for his persecution or do nothing to stop it will be exposed to the people and will be remembered, scorned, and punished by the base.
She continued, defending the former president against the looming charges and calling the American justice system “two-tiered,”
President Trump did nothing wrong and has always fought for the American people, and we all know it, which is why we love him. And any Republican who thinks the Democrats will stop this madness once Trump is out of the way is fooling themselves. Weaponized Government and Political Persecution are new chapters in their playbook and they will use those methods against anyone who stands in their way. And we are absolutely fed up with the two-tiered justice system or rather INJUSTICE system in America. The base has had enough of Republicans that won’t stand up for the people and against the Democrats war against Trump, his admin, his supporters, and traditional values.

Donald Trump posted Saturday morning on Truth Social that he expected to be arrested on Tuesday this week after receiving “illegal leaks” from the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. The charges reportedly relate to an alleged “hush money” payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg previously made headlines as a notorious criminal justice reform champion. According to reports from his office, Bragg downgraded more than half of his district’s felony cases to misdemeanors, including armed robberies. Bragg also stated in 2021 that he would no longer seek jail time for many serious offenders, leading many to view the pending charges against Donald Trump as politically motivated.
