Man Throws Rock Through Front Door of Jail – “It’s My Time 2 Ride 2 Die, Live by the Gun, Die by the Gun.”
West Virginia man Richard Manuel, 50, is sitting in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail after he threw a rock through the jail’s front door.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the Tygart Valley Regional Jail about a case of Criminal Mischief. A man had reportedly thrown a rock through the front glass doors of the jail and then fled the scene on a white bicycle, wearing an orange camouflage jacket.
A witness who reportedly knew the suspect came forward and told investigators that they saw Manuel lay down his bicycle in front of the jail entrance and, heard a noise, saw him throw things at the door.

A second witness told investigators they saw Manuel walking along Abbey Road and heard loud noise.
Both witnesses told deputies that Manuel had a “big tattoo across his forehead,” according to the sheriff’s office.
A rock was found outside the two doors of the jail among the shattered glass. The sheriff’s office said the outside pane of the left door was broken, and two sheets of glass on the right door were also destroyed, causing damage estimated by the jail maintenance staff to be approximately $2,500.
The search was on for Manuel, and deputies later found him by the railroad track in Crystal Springs, where he was arrested.
During a search of Manuel, deputies found a note inside his pocket, which according to the sheriff’s office, said, “I’m going to the TVRJ, not be 4 one last good high” and “It’s my time 2 Ride 2 Die, live by the gun, die by the gun.” The note was signed “with love Richard Allen Manuel, aka Opie.” The note included his signature.
