On December 31st, 2021, Collins stopped by his ex-girlfriend’s house located on NW 6th avenue in Liberty City on New Years’ Eve to drop off a pair of shoes for the 3-year-old child they have in common. Collins’ ex-girlfriend began arguing with him and told him to leave to which Collins replied that he “didn’t need to go anywhere.” Collins’ ex-girlfriend began taunting Collins, pulled down her pants, and told Collins to “kiss my ass.” Collins then made his ex-girlfriend a counteroffer by getting out of his car, pulling out his gun, and pointing it at her. A fight over the pistol started, and the ex-girlfriend grabbed his weapon. During the ensuing brawl, the ex-girlfriend ended up falling to the ground.

When the ex-girlfriend’s mom decided to intervene and de-escalate the situation, she got shot in both legs for her troubles after somebody pulled the trigger, and the gun went off.
Collins fled the home, went underground, and then disappeared altogether. Police couldn’t locate him until earlier this week when an anonymous caller gave them a tip about his whereabouts.
