Malik Smith took the ride of shame to the Orange County Jail after some bizarre behavior that resulted in him striking an officer with a car, biting another on the leg, and dancing on a car rooftop.

Smith entered the Mobil Station at 12961 West Colonial Drive in Winter Garden and acted strangely. He jumped up on the counter of the inside smoke shop and started destroying products and display cases.
Mobil employees called 911 and requested Winter Garden Police to trespass the man from the shop. Police responded, but Smith already took off. As police were reviewing the security video, Smith came back and entered. Police ordered him to stop, but Smith returned to his car and took off again. He drove towards the officers and struck one with the side mirror of his vehicle. Smith sped off westbound on Colonial Drive.

At approximately 8:00 p.m., another winter garden officer was driving to a different call when he spotted Smith dancing on top of a car at the intersection of Colonial Drive and Dillard Street.
The officer initiated a traffic stop, and Smith pulled into another C-Store parking lot and went inside, ignoring the officer. By this time, other officers arrived with a K-9 unit, and as he exited the store, the fight was on!
Smith was pepper sprayed but resisted and bit one of the officers on the thigh when the K-9 was released. Smith could stand and then got to “Ride the Lightning” as another officer deployed his Taser. Smith went down, and the K9 was able to get a good bite on Smith’s right arm. After struggling some more, the officers were able to get Smith cuffed.
Smith was transported to Health Central hospital to treat the dog bite and then to the Orange County Jail, where he was held without bond.
