Majority of Americans Want to See Biden Debate RFK, Marianne Williamson

Voters are tired of the boring “politics as usual” that has characterized American politics since President Trump left office. According to a new Rasmussen Poll, 74 percent of Americans want to see the incumbent president debate controversial activist Robert Kennedy Jr. and self-help guru Marianne Williamson.

Not since President Gerald Ford has an incumbent president actively participated in his party’s primary process. However, with Biden steering the ship of state toward disaster, voters want an alternative – or at least an entertaining debate.

According to a Fox News poll from late May, Robert F. Kennedy (RFK), the nephew of assassinated President John F. Kennedy, is currently the runner-up to Biden, with approximately 16 percent of the Democratic party supporting him. The RFK campaign has been attacked by mainstream media sources for its opposition to vaccine mandates and even for the fluoridation of drinking water, calling them “chemicals.” Kennedy has also taken a position loathed by his Democrat counterparts: opposition to the currently wide-open border.

Biden still holds a commanding lead over the Democratic field with 62 percent support among the party.

The incumbent president is unsurprisingly ignoring his opposition and abstaining from doing campaign activities, similar to his notoriously inactive 2020 campaign in which he did very few events and even fewer that relied on extemporaneous speaking. With embarrassing falls and baffling gaffes becoming more common as Biden ages, it’s likely he will, for his own good, continue to ignore calls to debate his primary challengers.

Marianne Williamson, who gained notoriety from her self-help lectures and appearance on the Opah Winfrey Show, currently holds last place among declared candidates with just 2 percent support among the party, according to DailyMail.

Williamson has railed against the rigging of primary elections by the DNC, which was famously exposed by WikiLeaks in 2016 after the DNC rallied against Sanders and virtually destroyed his chances of winning – without consulting Democrat voters.

“Biden officials and their minions have used mainstream news platforms to spread the word far and wide: There will be no debates, nor any further discussion about it. Candidates other than the chosen one anointed by the DNC should take their toys and go home now. We’re supposed to consider any candidates other than President Biden mere political children, and the adults in charge now consider this subject closed.” ~Marianne Williamson in a 2023 Newsweek op-ed

Williamson continued her rant to Newsweek, arguing that “the party that purports to be the champion of democracy should not be so wary of it in our own house.”

Even Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, whose former company collaborated with the FBI during the 2020 election, called for an open debate and primary process.

If the DNC maintains a tight grip on their primary process as they did in 2016 and 2020, then President Biden will likely have no problems seizing the nomination, regardless of whether he actively campaigns. Despite overwhelming support for transparency, the highly-anticipated debates between Biden, Kennedy, and Williamson likely will not be happening.
