Leftist hysteria has culminated in planning a new, possibly violent, “trans day of vengeance” in response to claims of trans genocide circulating online. However, the latest FBI reports and data show that there were just two murders of transgender people over the year, and while tragic, the incidents fall far short of the genocide narrative created by the left.
The last two years have seen an increasingly intense battle between the left and conservatives over the issue of transgenderism and its forebearer, woke gender ideology. Conservatives, led by figures like Governor Ron DeSantis and commentator Matt Walsh, have been focused on protecting children from prescribed, and possibly dangerous, transitory drugs called “hormone therapy,” “HRT,” or “gender-affirming care.”

In response to GOP advances, radical-left online activists, in coordination with the mainstream media, have begun framing the issue as a battle over the lives of transgenders, claiming that there is an ongoing “trans genocide.” The newly created genocide narrative has led to increasing radicalization on the left, with trans radicals planning a retaliatory “trans day of vengeance” in Washington, D.C., which is proudly advertising supplementary firearms training. The Virginia chapter of the “Trans Radical” activist group, speaking about the planned protest, issued a vague warning on Twitter.

Despite the outrage over banning hormone therapies for children, recent FBI statistics show that the “trans genocide” is simply not occurring. The FBI report, alongside the data, states that only “3.2 percent [of hate crime victims] were targeted because of the offenders’ gender identity bias.” Further, because of the loose definition of these categories, transgenders are lumped in with most other members of the LGBT community in data reporting. In other words, anti-trans discrimination accounts for, at most, 3.2 percent of all hate crimes.
An overwhelming majority of the incidents – 73.7 percent – involved assault or intimidation, the FBI report shows, with just 0.7 percent being murder or manslaughter. The data paints a clear picture: “trans genocide,” or anything remotely close to it, is not happening.

Referencing a Conservative Political Action Conference speech in which conservative commentator Michael Knowles criticized transgender ideology, activist Alejandra Carabello claimed to her 125,000 Twitter followers that Mr. Knowles was openly calling for violence.

Caraballo, speaking on Twitter, continued her rant against Knowles.
“What exactly do you think ‘eradication’ entails? If you ever wondered how we get from hate speech to genocide, this is it… this is how pogroms start.”
But, despite the wild claims of violence that Caraballo and other radical left activists spew, the data provides an undeniable reality check: There is no genocide against transgenders, and the political battle to protect children from trans ideology has claimed no transgender lives.
