Karine Jean-Pierre WALKS AWAY From Durham Report Questions

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre avoided questions about the Durham report on Tuesday, which revealed the FBI had “no actual evidence” to investigate President Trump for connections to Russia during the 2016 election cycle.

Durham’s probe concluded that the “Russiagate” investigation, officially known as Crossfire Hurricane, was started without sufficient evidence or cause.

“Based on the evidence gathered in the multiple exhaustive and costly federal investigations of these matters, including the instant investigation, neither U.S. law enforcement nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.”

“FBI records prepared by Strzok in February and March 2017 show at the time of opening Crossfire Hurricane, the FBI had no information in its holding indicating that at any time during the campaign, anyone in the Trump campaign had been in contact with any Russian intelligence officials,” the report went on.

This conclusion comes a year after another revelation linked to the probe, which exposed Hillary Clinton for manufacturing and paying for the Steele Dossier, the basis for the creation of Crossfire Hurricane. Moreover, the Durham probe found President Obama’s White House knew Clinton’s plot.

Naturally, White House Correspondents asked Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for any comment from the Biden White House on the report’s conclusions.

However, when asked for a reaction, Jean-Pierre had none, simply saying, “I would leave it to the Department of Justice to speak to.”

One reporter pressed Jean-Pierre on the issue.

“Biden always talks about how he wants the DOJ to remain independent, but this report reflects the opposite. Does he agree with Special Counsel Durham that there needs to be wholesale changes at the FBI?” he asked.

However, Jean-Pierre again refused to answer and even left the room after responding.

“Again, that is with the Department of Justice. That’s not something I’m going speak from the podium as you just stated in your question we believe in an independent Department of Justice that’s what the President said when he was running and that’s what the President has said the last two years. Thank you so much I’ll see you guys in Japan.”

This seems to be standard operating procedure for the White House. Jean-Pierre was similarly avoidant when the Steele Dossier was first exposed as being manufactured by Hillary Clinton.

When asked if Biden had any concerns about Clinton’s actions, which involved hacking computer systems, including Trump’s, to create a narrative, Jean-Pierre again did not answer. He referred the reporter to the Department of Justice repeatedly.

Observers on Twitter made it clear they were none too happy with the White House’s approach.

Some pointed out how the probe’s results contradicted Jean-Pierre’s support of the Trump-Russia Collusion theory at the time.

One user even speculated that the avoidance may be due to Biden’s potential involvement.
