Fearing that someone under the influence might drive the car, Deputies responded and eventually caught up with the vehicle.
The deputies initiated a traffic stop and asked for the driver to step out of the vehicle.
Imagine their surprise when the driver exited the vehicle wearing a Bud Light Can costume.
After performing the sobriety tests, it turns out that the Bud Light Can-wearing driver was under the influence of alcohol and arrested.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department released a picture of the hilarious arrest along with this caption on their Facebook page:
“A career in law enforcement is exciting, and you get to experience something new every day. Sometimes you see things you can’t believe!
Yesterday, our deputies were notified of a possible intoxicated driver traveling northbound on Interstate 35. The vehicle was located and eventually pulled over.
Deputies were surprised to see that the driver was wearing a beer can costume. Yes, you read that correctly.
The driver was eventually placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and transported to the Franklin County Jail. As always, suspects are innocent until proven guilty.”
This is just the kinda publicity Bud Light needs right now – a Kansas man, wearing a costume of a full sized Bud Light can, got arrested for drunk driving… 😂 https://t.co/DW9MoSoXJ5

The comments below the Facebook post were gold:
“Is that considered an open container?”
“Is he trying to get shot by Kid Rock?”
“Is it really under the influence if he IS the influencer?”
“When you think you’ve seen it all…”
As the driver’s pronouns are unknown, we’ll say it was transported to the county jail and charged with driving under the influence.
