HD90 FL Rep. Joe Casello Expects Full Recovery From Mild Stroke
State Representative Joe Casello, D-Palm Beach County, quietly missed the last bit of the 2024 legislative session, sparking concern about his health. However, he did remain in touch with friends and colleagues. It turns out that Casello had a mild stroke but is now on his way to a full recovery. He is eager to get back to business and looks forward to getting on the campaign trail and returning for his last session as a state rep in Tallahassee.
Joe Casello was a former firefighter and electrician and a member of the US Air Force. Casello also serves on the Board of Trustees for JFK Hospital. Casello started his political career in 2013 as a Boynton Beach Commissioner, an election he won by three votes. He served in that seat for five years before moving on to his first legislative session in 2018. Casello is known as a representative who reaches across the aisle to pass common-sense legislation, including legislation to protect firefighters. Casello is a valuable, well-liked member of the Palm Beach County legislation and can always be seen with a big, warm smile and a joke he’ll make with his strong Massachusetts accent. His friends and fellow members are “wicked” glad he will be okay and look forward to seeing him soon. Casello shared a press release with Florida Jolt and specifically requested that it be shared with our readers.
