God Bless DeSantis, Abortions Fall 14.5% in Florida, Abortion Totals by County
A red wave has continued to engulf Florida since the election of Governor Ron DeSantis in 2018, and that wave has saved the lives of many unborn children.
As a result, the Republican Governor and Republican legislature have worked together to pass pro-life legislation that has included a 15-week abortion ban and other restrictions on abortion providers.
In conjunction with more restrictive abortion laws, abortions fell across Florida by 14.5 percent, according to numbers released by the Agency for Health Care Administration.

DeSantis’ ability to pass pro-life legislation in a purple state has made him a champion of the pro-life movement, as the Governor has vocally spoken out in favor of rolling back abortion in Florida.

Governor DeSantis on the need to protect babies from abortion:
"This is a time where these babies have beating hearts. They can move, they can taste, they can see, they can feel pain, they can suck their thumb, and they have brain waves."

DeSantis has said that he is determined to defend Florida’s pro-life legislation from court challenges and to continue to build on it with more restrictions on abortion in the wake of the decision to overturn Roe v Wade.
He also advocated for being pro-life for the whole life, saying that he would promote child welfare in a variety of areas.
“Florida will continue to defend its recently-enacted pro-life reforms against state court challenges, will work to expand pro-life protections, and will stand for life by promoting adoption, foster care, and child welfare,” He said in June.

According to the Guttmacher Institute, there has been an uptick in abortions in the last few years, reversing a trend of abortions decreasing over the previous three decades.
