The victim said he was alone in his girlfriend’s 2005 white Toyota passenger car traveling north on Tuskegee Street at around 7:30 p.m. when Reed pulled up next to him and said she would kill him, the affidavit said.

Reed then got behind the victim’s vehicle and rammed the left rear with the right front of her car, causing damage to the left rear fender of the Toyota.

After she hit his vehicle, Reed drove off in an unknown direction. The victim stated Reed was driving her 2014 silver Hyundai SUV at the time, the affidavit said.

The officer later reviewed photographs taken of the victim’s vehicle, in which the damage above the left rear tire was visible, the affidavit said. Silver transfer paint and investigative resources confirmed that Reed did have the previously described vehicle registered to her.

The victim further explained that Reed had tried to run him over while walking down Beecher Street about a week before this incident, but he did not report it to the police.

The affidavit said that the officer found a case from March 8, 2023, in which Reed was arrested for battery on the victim.

The victim told police that he was in fear for his life and that this was not the first time Reed had threatened him, the affidavit said.

Despite dropping the charges for the previous battery, the victim wished to prosecute for this incident. He also stated that he and Reed had dated on and off for about a year but never lived together or had children.
