Stacey Plaskett, a Democrat Delegate to the House of Representatives from the US Virgin Islands, slipped up in an interview on MSNBC, briefly stating that Trump needs to be shot.
In the interview, Plaskett criticized Trump for handling classified and sensitive materials in his Mar-a-Lago home, claiming that the behavior should be considered “terrifying.” Plaskett made no note of former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s nigh identical behavior in 2016 with similar information security risks, which she was excused for under the Comey standard.
“Having Trump not only having the codes but now having the classified information for Americans and being able to put that out and share it in his resort with anyone and everything who comes through should be terrifying to all Americans.”
Joe Biden is also subject to approval for leaving numerous classified documents in his home garage. Nevertheless, Plaskett continued, stating Trump “needs to be (shot) — Stopped.”

This isn’t Plaskett’s first expression of hostility against Trump and his supporters. She previously served as the impeachment manager during Trump’s impeachment trial.
Last month Plaskett claimed that “MAGA Republicans are a threat to the rule of law in America.” She argued that Republican efforts to clean out and reform the politicized FBI are “defund the police on steroids.
“This hearing is evidence, as if we needed any more, that MAGA Republicans are a threat to the rule of law in America … my colleagues on the far right are on a mission to attack, discredit, and ultimately dismantle the FBI. This is defund the police on steroids.”
Plaskett dismissed House Republican concerns over the FBI’s recent behavior, which has involved spying on catholic churches as breeding grounds for “extremism” and stalling in handing over documents implicating Joe Biden in a bribery scheme involving the Ukrainian Oil company Burisma. Instead, Plaskett claimed that race and surface politics motivated the reaction, saying, “We’re here because Chairman Jordan wants to make America Trump again.”

Plaskett said that Jordan’s House committee, committed to investigating the political weaponization of justice departments and systems, is merely a “clearing house for testing conspiracy theories for Donald Trump to use in his 2024 presidential campaign.”

One committee member called Plaskett out on this, telling her off for assuming malice without evidence and noting that her theories about motive are irrelevant to the committee’s business: sniffing out the weaponization of justice. Leftist activist Aaron Rupar, however, followed Plaskett’s example, disregarding the content of what was said and opting for snide comments instead.
