Florida Woman Pulls Gun on Pair Suspected of Cutting in Line

Florida Woman Terri Lynn Johns, 59, of Fort Myers is sitting in the Lee County jail, aka Sheriff Carmine Marceno‘s “ Marceno Motel” after she brandished a firearm at a vehicle for allegedly cutting in line at a Fort Myers Gas Station.

Ms. Johns was sitting in line at a gas station in Fort Myers, which is one of the hardest hit areas in Florida at the moment, when she saw a vehicle occupied by two females appear to cut in line for gas. Johns pointed a firearm at the vehicles occupants, which were only making a U-Turn through the gas station as traffic conditions county-wide are bad with congested roads and traffic signals that are sometimes intermittent.

Johns was arrested by the Fort Myers Police Department and transported to the Lee County jail where she was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm without intent to kill, as well as displaying a firearm during a felony. She was released after posting a $75,000 bond.

“Don’t be like Ms. Johns,” Fort Myers Police said in a Facebook post. “This is the behaviors that will not be tolerated at any time much less during this state of emergency.”

I know this is preaching to the choir with Florida Jolt fans, but here is some advice from someone who has worked a few hurricanes as a police officer. Law enforcement officers throughout the state are working 12+ hour shifts under dangerous conditions, trying to restore order. They don’t want to waste time and deal with this type of buffoonery. This woman decided to take matters into her own hands and didn’t even have her facts straight.

When a natural disaster occurs, people get very stressed. As our Governor Ron DeSantis stated the other day, Florida is a 2nd Amendment state. When someone pulls out a gun, the chances of having one pointed back at you are high. Ms. Johns is lucky she’s only in jail and not in the morgue.
