Florida Man Rips Sink Out of the Wall, Floods Pizza Hut

A Florida man entered the Pizza Hut at 25 Homestead Road in Lehigh Acres and asked to use their bathroom. After about 30 minutes, an employee knocked on the door to ask him if he was alright. That’s when employees noticed water coming out from under the door and starting to flood the lobby area. The man was told to leave, so he went out to the parking lot and sat in his car. The Pizza Hut employees then called 911 about the suspicious man who vandalized their restaurant.

Lee County Deputies were dispatched to investigate, and upon arrival, they observed water flowing out of the front door of the business. After employees told them what happened, they then checked the men’s room to see what they were dealing with and discovered that the sink was no longer attached to the wall. The Deputies were given a suspect description and went in search of the suspect, who fortunately was still in the parking lot.

It what law enforcement officers call a clue; the suspect was found with his clothes still soaking wet from the destruction he caused. After speaking to him, the suspect was transported to the Lehigh Acres Regional Medical Center for an evaluation.

The Pizza Hut sustained over $1,500 in damages, as well as an unknown amount in revenue, as the damage was enough to cause the restaurant to close for the rest of the day while repairs were made.
