According to the police report, Koller walked into the clinic screaming, ‘Call the police! Call the FBI now!” The office staff asked Koller what he was holding, and he stated, ‘What the f*%# do you think it is?’
The staff and patients left the building, and Koller allowed them to.
During the Standoff, Koller was posting demands on the front door of the office, asking to speak with the FBI and at times appearing frustrated, even taunting officers, one reading: “Your IQ is too low.”
After continued negotiations with the SWAT Team negotiators and bomb squad, Police were able to apprehend Koller at around 8 p.m. and examine the suspicious package he claimed to have been a bomb. It turned out to be a hoax.
