Florida Man Kills Mom Because ‘She Never Pushed Me To Be A Man’

Florida man Matthew Stewart Sisley, 21, of Kissimmee, is in the Osceola County Jail after he confessed to stabbing his mother to death because he said, “She never pushed me to be a man.”

Sisley allegedly stabbed his mother to death and cut his sister’s hands when she tried to stop the attack. The arrest affidavit stated she attempted to intervene and get between Sisley and his mother, and that’s when she was stabbed. She then tried to choke her brother from behind, but he threw her off him and to the ground. Sisley then demanded her car keys and fled the area.

When deputies arrived at the home on a stabbing report, they encountered Sisley’s sister screaming, “He killed my mom!”

Osceola Deputies captured Sisley near the scene and took him to speak with detectives. During the interview, Sisley confessed to the murder and stated, “I would do it again.” When asked if his mom deserved to be killed, Sisley said, “Yes…because she never pushed me to be a man.”

Since Sisley’s sister witnessed the murder and was slashed across the hands by Sisley when she tried to intervene, prosecutors with the State Attorney for the 9th circuit filed a pre-trial motion to have Sisley held without bond. In the motion, the description of what happened during the attack was given to the judge.

“The victim heard their mother screaming for her life. When the victim came out of her room, she observed the defendant stabbing their mother multiple times with a kitchen knife,” the motion said. “The victim attempted to intervene and sustained multiple deep lacerations to her hands from the defendant cutting her.”

Sisley was transported to the Osceola County Jail and was charged with domestic aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and premeditated murder. He is being held without bond.
