Florida AG Moody Slams White House For Pretending Progress at Southern Border
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre took fire from Florida AG Ashley Moody for suggesting that Joe Biden has done “more than any prior president to secure the border.” Despite monthly migrant encounters soaring at record highs, Jean-Pierre insisted during a White House press conference that the president had built “a safe, orderly, and humane immigration system.” Ashley Moody responded on Twitter.
“Here are the facts:
RECORD number of illegal immigrants encountered by border patrol.
RECORD number of suspected terrorists trying to cross the border.
RECORD number of fentanyl deaths.”

In another tweet, she wrote,
“As the White House lies and claims @JoeBiden ‘has done more than any prior president to secure the border,’ Mexico praises Biden for being the first U.S. president to have ‘not built even one meter of wall.’ Let that sink in.”

On day one of the Biden administration, an executive order was issued to halt the southern border wall construction. His administration has sued multiple border states to prevent them from constructing their own walls. Arizona recently began removing shipping containers placed to prevent border crossings due to pressure from the White House.

Despite Jean-Pierre’s claims, the southern border is anything but safe and orderly. The latest Customs and Border Protection data showed over 200,000 migrant encounters in November 2022 alone. In the 2022 fiscal year, 856 illegal migrants were killed trying to cross the border. The DEA also announced in a report that it had seized over 10,000lbs of fentanyl in the past year,
“Just two milligrams of fentanyl, the small amount that fits on the tip of a pencil, is considered a potentially deadly dose.”
Fentanyl is now the leading cause of death for Americans between 18 and 45.
The coming end of Title 42 is expected to spell further disaster at the southern border. Title 42 is the Trump-era public health order which enables law enforcement to deport illegal immigrants without a hearing. “I don’t like title 42,” Biden said to reporters earlier this month as the White House seeks to repeal it despite record-high encounters.

“While Mexico praises Joe Biden… U.S. taxpayers are busy paying for a security wall at Biden’s beach house. Biden is prioritizing his safety over yours.” Moody wrote on Twitter. “we will continue to call out Joe Biden’s lies and challenge the White House in court over its unlawful immigration policies.”
