Cemeka Mitchem and Anthony Miller are in the Anderson County Jail after they were arrested on cocaine trafficking charges. The sheriff’s office said Mitchum used a fake pregnancy belly to transport 1,500 grams of cocaine.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said deputies first pulled over Anthony Miller and Cemeka Mitchem during a “proactive patrol” on Interstate 85.

The duo was separated and questioned by deputies about their destination etc., and the red flags began popping up. When deputies asked about Cemeka’s due date, the pair gave different answers.
The deputies said that as they grew more suspicious, Mitchem realized they didn’t believe their story, and she took off running from the car, and the foot pursuit was on.
As Mitchem ran from deputies, the cocaine she had hidden in her fake rubber pregnancy belly fell out. Deputies caught up to her quickly, knabbing her and the contraband drugs.
Deputies said they noticed something was off when the two gave conflicting information about a due date.

The sheriff’s office estimated that the couple hid over 1,500 grams of cocaine during the traffic stop.
Both Miller and Mitchem were arrested and are facing cocaine-trafficking charges.
Interstate 85 is a popular route for drug traffickers through Anderson County, with several large busts already reported this year.

Last month, Anderson County deputies also seized more than 48 pounds of drugs from another pair of traffickers during a traffic stop on I-85.
