DeSantis’ first TV spot focuses on Floridians, freedom, and pride
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is up with the first TV spot of his re-election campaign for his upcoming gubernatorial election this Fall.
The ad is titled Dear Governor and was produced by the Florida Republican party. The 60-second ad was designed by the DeSantis campaign to be a television and digital ad. The ad depicts DeSantis going through letters from private Floridians praising him for his policies that kept the state and its schools open to the public during the pandemic.
“I’ve never written a political leader, but I’m writing to express my appreciation for keeping us Floridians free and thriving,” says a narrator reading a letter.
“A Governor who says what he is going to do and then does it”, one narrator said. “Because of you, my child has thrived during this pandemic.”
The ad shows DeSantis to be in his Capitol office, reading letters, then taking a folder with him a he enters a vehicle and continues to read while on his way to an event.
Holy shit what a good ad

The ad shows Governor DeSantis smiling as he reads a section to a letter that reads ““Watching you beat back the woke, liberal media makes me so proud to be a Floridian.”
“A lot of democrats in Florida support DeSantis now. Even those who voted for Gillum. Yes Gillum has a lot of problems apparent now but he was a good candidate (to leftists and liberals) back in 2018. Dems do not have a good candidate now.”~Christina Pushaw
With over $128 million for his re-election campaign, DeSantis has a prime opportunity to dominate Floridian airwaves in his second statewide campaign. Democrats Nikki Fried and Charlie Crist are vying for their party’s nomination for the state’s August 23rd primaries, and each has aired just a single TV spot thus far.
Fried’s ad went up Monday and was centered around protecting abortion rights, ratifying new gun control policies, and improving the state’s cost of living.

Crist’s ad aired in mid-July and criticized DeSantis, saying he “cares more about running for the White House than your house,” being critical towards Desantis’ role in Florida’s policies and response to COVID-19.
I’m doing more than just calling out Ron DeSantis’ radical agenda — I’m fighting back. Because Floridians deserve better.
