DeSantis Camp Launches ‘Real Nikki Haley’ Site Exposing Liberal Record

Governor Ron DeSantis’s presidential campaign is stepping up its attacks against rival candidate Nikki Haley, launching a new website to ‘expose’ her liberal voting record and love of the Chinese Communist Party.

The site, titled “Who is the real Nikki Haley?” includes an exhaustive list of statements and articles about the former South Carolina Governor dating back to 2007, purportedly revealing her left-wing agenda. A caption tells voters that Haley “isn’t the conservative she says she is” and has suggests she has been “supportive of every liberal cause under the sun.”

“Nikki Haley is not the conservative she pretends to be, so the Ron DeSantis for President campaign is launching a new microsite today shining a light on the real Nikki Haley,” the DeSantis campaign said in a statement Friday. “The site will allow Republican primary voters to see for themselves that Haley has supported every liberal cause under the sun.”

“There’s a reason Nikki Haley is running away from her record and refuses to take tough questions from the media – she can’t risk exposing her liberal views on issues most important to conservative voters.”

The new “microsite” variously accuses Haley of being Pro-Hillary Clinton, Pro-men in women’s restrooms, Pro-child mutilation,
Pro-Gaza refugees coming to America, Pro-censorship, Pro-abortion tourism, Pro-tax hikes, Pro-BLM rioters, and Pro-cronyism. Each accusation is backed up by a link to one or more articles.

The majority of the site, however, is dedicated to exposing Haley as “Pro-Illegal Immigration” and “Pro-China and cozy with the Chinese Communist Party.” The site includes several statements made by Haley praising mass migration, birthright citizenship, and DACA–as well as calling to import more foreign workers.

The DeSantis campaign also cited a 2012 report where Haley championed Chinese investment in South Carolina,

“As governor, Haley explained that she was courting Chinese investment in South Carolina because of her view that Chinese workers are more dedicated than Americans and can remind us to work harder. Haley stated that Chinese workers ‘work with passion and urgency – like there is no time to waste.’ She claimed this ‘passion’ for work used to be alive in the US. ‘And we’re saying: let’s get that passion again. And that’s why I think the Chinese investments are good for us,’ Haley continued. ‘Because it reminds us of what this energy feels like. They [the Chinese] can remind us that we need to focus on that again.'”

Chinese investment in South Carolina would ultimately double during Haley’s time as Governor, with companies tied to the CCP acquiring 1,500 acres of land.

More recently, Haley has come under fire from the DeSantis campaign for her support of online ID verification, which would effectively make anonymous free speech illegal.

“You know who were anonymous writers back in the day? Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, and James Madison when they wrote the Federalist Papers,” DeSantis said in a response posted on X. “They were not ‘national security threats,’ nor are the many conservative Americans across the country who exercise their Constitutional right to voice their opinions without fear of being harassed or canceled by the school they go to or the company they work for.”
