Deadly NYC Scooter Shooter Captured After 1 Killed, 3 Injured
Scooter Shooter Thomas Abreu, 25, of Brooklyn, was arrested by NYPD 103rd Precinct officers for a series of shootings in Queens and Brooklyn that left three wounded and one man dead.
Police say Abreu drove a scooter through Brooklyn and Queens late Saturday morning, randomly shooting at people on the street.

Bullets struck four people: a 21-year-old man was shot in the shoulder, an 86-year-old man was shot in the back, a 44-year-old man was shot in the face, and a 63-year-old man was shot in the shoulder.
The 86-year-old victim, Hamoo Saeidi of Queens, died at Jamaica Hospital. The 44-year-old victim was last reported to be in critical condition, and the 21-year-old and 63-year-old victims are both in stable condition.
Video footage reveals Abreu casually cruised around a Queens neighborhood Saturday, shooting unsuspecting pedestrians using a 9mm pistol with an extended magazine.
One video shows an 86-year-old man taking a bullet to the back while walking down Jamaica Avenue near 108th Street in Richmond Hill.
A separate video shows the moments leading up to the deadly encounter on Jamaica Avenue, with the scooter shooter blazing down the street, stopping quickly and pulling a quick U-turn as he seems to spot his victim walking along the sidewalk.
Slowly, Abreu rolls by on his scooter extends out his arm, and opens fire, aiming first at a dog walker and missing, according to the clip obtained by The New York Post.
The sound of the shot appeared to prompt Saeidi to turn and look behind him, and as he did, Abreu fired again, striking him in the back.
The round exits out his chest, and he begins to bleed heavily. The man writhes in pain and eventually goes to the ground and bleeds out.

An NYPD source said, “This guy had a lot of ammunition on him. There were going to be other bodies dropped.”
Abreu has a single arrest for possession of a forged instrument on his rap sheet and was taken into custody Saturday.
Abreu has been charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, and six counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
