David Robbe: “Why I Believe in Gloria Branch for School Board”
My name is David Robbe and I’ve been a social studies teacher and coach at Boca Raton High School for more than 40 years. Gloria Branch was a student of mine and now is a close personal friend. I want to tell you why she deserves to represent us on the Palm Beach County School Board.
I’ve always prioritized education as a non-partisan issue. I know that Gloria comes from a family tradition of educational excellence. Her dad, Art Johnson (Dr. J) was the best principal and superintendent I ever served with. Gloria has picked up on being a forward-thinking and pragmatic leader we need on the school board. She fights for policy solutions.
As a mother of a daughter at Spanish River High School, she volunteers with the parent groups. Through all these experiences, I have known Gloria to be an upstanding and supportive person who perseveres through difficult times and brings energy to positive times. Gloria does not believe in personal attacks and defends policy positions with intelligence and vigor.
Gloria will fight for what’s best for our young people and believes in rewarding teachers for their commitment and excellence. I’m voting for Gloria Branch and hope you will too.
