Speaking on his 2024 campaign, Zapata said, “It is with great honor that I announce my candidacy for the Florida State House of Representatives in District 89. In 2022 we started this fight for Florida’s future, and we will continue to carry that torch all the way to Tallahassee.” he continued by stating, “For too long, our community has been underrepresented and ignored in Tallahassee, but together we can change that by electing someone who will make our concerns their top priority.”

“Many are feeling the pressure of unprecedented inflation throughout Palm Beach County.  Every day in our community, people are being forced to decide between putting food on the table and putting gas in their tanks. Our legislature and representative need to stand up and provide relief for our communities. If elected, I will work daily to ensure that our community gets the recognition and relief it deserves from Tallahassee. We must have a representative who will stand up to the radical ideology threatening our way of life. These policies are flowing out of Washington at an alarming rate, and our state legislature is the last line of defense to protect us from personal financial ruin.” Zapata said.

While announcing his candidacy, Zapata went on to highlight his experience as an educator and the importance of prioritizing education.

He went on to say, “As an educator, I know what it takes for our students to be successful in and outside of the classroom. Our teachers need to be free to be educators and not be forced to be indoctrinators. I am happy with the steps the legislature has taken to move our state toward more educational freedom, but we still have a ways to go. I will work every day to ensure that Florida continues to lead the way on this issue.”

Zapata concluded by saying, “I pray that you will join me in this fight for Florida’s future, and I hope to earn your support along the way.”
