Naples, Fla. – Today, Greg Folley, candidate for State House District 81, announced that he placed first in last night’s straw poll following a candidate forum on Marco Island hosted by Florida Citizens Alliance (FLCA). Greg won 85-18, a landslide victory against Republican challenger Yvette Benarroch.

Florida Citizens Alliance champions K-12 education reform in Florida. As a 501-c3 nonprofit, FLCA seeks to improve Florida’s K-12 education by uniting and empowering teachers, students, and parents.

“I’m incredibly pleased by last night’s victory in the straw poll,” said Greg Folley. “We had a good night of discussion and debate, and clearly, the community was inspired by my freedom-first message and resonated strongly with my stance on the issues. Thank you to everyone who came out and cast their ballot for me. I’m honored to have your support and very encouraged by this result.”

Greg and his wife, Margo, are full-time residents of Marco Island. Since 2020, Greg has held a position on the City Council, serving a stint as Chairman from 2022-2023. He is also a parishioner at San Marco Catholic Church. In the State House, Greg will bring his experience as a member of President Reagan’s White House staff and a longtime business executive to stop the woke agenda and keep our state the Free State of Florida.
