Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has made Florida a model state for conservatives.
From the Parental Rights in Education bill to a 15-week abortion ban, Ron DeSantis has taken on policies that politicians in purple states were told to veer away from.
DeSantis’ popularity has only grown and he is expected to win re-election comfortably. Florida’s population has continued to grow while liberal states like California have seen an unprecedented exodus, vindicating his style of governance.
Now, his First Lady, Casey DeSantis, has taken a victory lap after her initiative that helped Florida families and children while promoting conservative values showed immense success.

The ‘Hope Florida’ initiative will significantly cut government waste and bureaucracy by reducing the government’s role in helping struggling families and children.
It will make the state government a middle-man that will connect families and children with nonprofits, faith-based groups, and businesses rather than dumping more money in to welfare programs that have increased the size of the state while doing little to help the people they aim to.

State employees, who are now called “Hope Navigators”, will help families develop an individualized plan to serve their needs through a ‘CarePortal’.
Casey DeSantis said that the system has already been extremely effective where its been tested.
“CarePortal requests are typically entered and fulfilled only once. Why? We’ve found that once local community organizations learn of struggling moms, dads and their children, neighbors won’t let that family go hungry or homeless again.”
Florida’s state government has also encouraged everyday citizens to participate in the Hope Florida program, from delivering meals to families in need to giving people a more clear path to fostering and adopting children.

While Ron DeSantis has received the most publicity from his tough stances on America’s culture wars, him and his wife are also pioneering a new form of compassionate conservatism that helps those in need while preserving free-market principles.
Casey DeSantis said it best when she said “Instead of creating more bloated bureaucracies, we must unite communities and work together to put parents and their children on a path to prosperity,”
