Biden-‘Blameless’ if Us Defaults on Debt, Fault of ‘MAGA Republicans’
As the United States advances dangerously close to defaulting on its debt, President Biden has absolved himself of responsibility, claiming, “On the merits, based on what I’ve offered, I would be blameless.” The statement came during a press conference at the G7 international summit in Hiroshima.
The president needs a debt ceiling raise to avoid a catastrophic debt default on June 1st.
DOOCY: "Do you think that if there is a [debt ceiling] breach, nobody is going to blame you?"
BIDEN: "Of course no one will blame me. I know you won't. You'll be saying Biden did a wonderful job." pic.twitter.com/XTJ2ylPTkR

Speaker of the House Rep. Kevin McCarthy has refused to pass a budget unless Biden agrees to halt his dangerously reckless spending and reduce the tax burden on everyday Americans.

Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocey – famed for his sparring with Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre – asked Biden, “Mr. President, on the debt limit, you said already, ‘I’ve done my part.’ Do you think that if there’s a [debt ceiling] breach, nobody is going to blame you?” The President responded by claiming that MAGA Republicans were holding the economy hostage.
No one will blame me because I have all the MSM in my pockets. There , fix it for you

“Well, I gotta be careful here. I think there are some MAGA Republicans in the House who know the damage that it would do to the economy and because I am president, and presidents are responsible for everything, Biden would take the blame. And that’s the one way to make sure Biden’s not re-elected.”
Despite Biden’s whining about the economic ramifications of default, the 86-year-old president’s policies have steadily driven the US economy to recession. Between record inflation and trillions of dollars added to the national debt, his economic policies have left the economy stagnant and American families strapped for cash.
A 2 way street … both sides are holding each other hostage, there is no absolute objective right or wrong … it’s ideological not reality driven.
For Biden to say his merits would be blameless is, however, an example of elitist big gov group think.

House Speaker McCarthy is in an unprecedented position of power – the reputation of the Biden administration (and by extension, reelection odds in 2024), as well as the health of the United States economy, depends on him agreeing to McCarthy’s demands for fiscal responsibility.
Despite this new leverage, Republicans have not pushed for further concessions from the Biden administration. McCarthy and the president can’t even agree on halting the debt spiral.
Republicans recently walked out of a meeting with the White House over what they deemed “unreasonable” demands earlier today.
The Republicans are reportedly trying to convince the Democrats to significantly reduce discretionary spending, which is where most of the “alphabet” executive agencies receive their funding.

Though President Biden has entertained negotiations over the budget, the administration has hinted at utilizing the 14th Amendment for an executive order.
A portion of the 14th Amendment recognizes all US debts as legitimate. According to another amendment, it mandates that the government pay for them – though this power is in the hands of the House, not the President. In other words, a Biden executive order on the national debt would be an unprecedented and unconstitutional assault on the legislature’s power.
I already blame Joe Biden & the Admin. The Biden Admin waited over 90 days to see if House of Reps could pass a debt ceiling bill & only then did, they even reach out for a meeting.

With Biden’s poll numbers sinking behind several GOP 2024 contenders and his approval rating at a weak 36 percent, the president can’t electorally afford a debt default – leading many to speculate that he will violate the constitution to prevent it and deal with the consequences later.
