Biden Abandons 16,000 Trapped Americans in War-Torn Sudan
The Biden Administration has again left thousands of Americans in danger amidst the collapse of the East African country of Sudan. In scenes reminiscent of the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal that left 13 Americans dead, Biden ordered the evacuation of all US Embassy staff from Sudan and declared the mission complete, saying that the rescue of the remaining 16,000 American citizens was too dangerous.
Two American citizens have been killed in the horrific bloodshed gripping. Despite facing a second humiliating catastrophe, Biden appears to be more focused on celebrating the 70 embassy staff who were evacuated.
“I am proud of the extraordinary commitment of our Embassy staff, who performed their duties with courage and professionalism and embodied America’s friendship and connection with the people of Sudan. I am grateful for the unmatched skill of our service members who successfully brought them to safety.”

National security council coordinator John Kirby piled on to the crushing news of abandonment, saying, “Americans should have no expectation of a US government coordinated evacuation at this time – we expect that that’s going to remain the case.” Kirby also said that the defense of foreign citizens was the responsibility of the weakened Sudanese government and the warlord-led rebels fighting against it.
“We continue to make clear, at the highest levels of our government, to the leadership of both the Sudanese armed forces and the rapid support forces, that they are responsible for ensuring the protection of civilians and non-combatants, including people from third countries and humanitarian staff that are working to save lives.”
The US Embassy website directly states that “the primary purpose of an embassy is to assist American citizens who travel to or live in the host country.”
Despite supporters praising Biden for “America being respected on the world stage again,” the administration has overseen a series of humiliating gaffes, poor decisions, and reckless behaviors that has hit his approval ratings hard and left more than a dozen Americans dead on foreign soil.
The order from the White House and the National Security Council has been for Americans to “shelter in place” and hope for the best.
Speaking to CNN, an American citizen vented his frustration as he attempted to make his way to safety in Egypt.
“We expected the Department to provide some kind of guidance, but the guidance was the template, just shelter in place, no critical information being provided…the only communication is to make their way somehow to Port Sudan and from there they will be assisted by the Saudis.”
Sudan War 🇸🇩 💔
I hope our politicians and the judiciary are seeing what is happening in Sudan, and I pray they do the right thing by serving justice to maintain peace and unity in our country.

Another fleeing American slammed the government in a CNN interview over the mistreatment.
“It seems like American citizens in this situation just have to fend for themselves and hope for the best. Apparently we are just ‘passport holders,’ whose lives and well-being is not a priority for the US government.”
A temporary cease-fire ends Thursday night, with British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly speculating that the bloodshed will intensify significantly upon its expiration.
